Ai Agents

Smart automation that understands what you need and how to do it

Most teams have to pick the right tool for the right task. With an AI Agent, you don’t have to decide.

An AI Agent bundles a group of proven automations together and uses AI to determine which one to run based on the request or context. That means your team can simply ask for what they need — and the right automation runs automatically.

Definition

What are Ai Agents?

Talk to 20 experts and you will likely get 20 different definitions of what an agent is.

At L2 Digital, we view Ai agents as an unstructured user interface (think Slack or email) that leverages Ai to review the context of your request and then determine the next action to take.

For example:

  1. Your marketing team opens Slack and requests that a blog post be written.
  2. The Ai agent receives and reviews the request.
  3. It then looks through a list of connected Ai-powered automations, which we call "Skills."
  4. It picks the "Content Creator" skill and triggers it by sending relevant details from the Slack request.
  5. The "Content Creator" skill follows its defined process by compiling online research, knowledge base articles, and other assets, and then prompting Ai to generate a blog post.
  6. The skill then saves the draft as a doc and sends back a link to it.
  7. The Ai Agent then replies to the Slack chat with a link to the drafted blog post.

Ai agents empower your sales and marketing teams with quick, easy access to your library of Ai-powered automations.

How Agents Work

Interface

The interface is what your marketing or sales team will interact with. It's where they can request specific activities and provide the necessary context for the AI to complete the task.

Examples of interfaces are:

  • Dedicated email address (ai@yourcompany.com)
  • Slack
  • Telegram
  • Text message
  • Web form
  • Project management tool

Skills

Ai agent skills - A list of Ai automations an agent can tap into

Skills are pre-built Ai-powered automations designed to complete a specific marketing or sales task using your defined process.

Instead of being triggered by an event or schedule, these AI-powered automations are activated by the AI agent after it determines the required skill to complete the requested task.

For example, your team sends the following command, "Write me a blog post about hosting a fundraiser." The Ai agent will understand that you want content written and then select the "Write a Blog Post" skill. The "Write a Blog Post" automation then generates the blog post using your process.

Unifying Agent

The unifying agent is the brain. Its job is to review and interpret what your team is asking for. It analyzes the request and determines the best "Skill" for the job.

Our team can build the Ai agent to ask follow-up questions about the task to ensure the automation has all the context needed to produce a valuable asset.

Why Agents Are the Real Ai Unlock

With every new system or technology, there is a learning curve. All but the innovators and early adopters end up sticking to the familiar until they are forced to change.

Ai agents put the power of your Ai-automation library in their hands through a tool they are already familiar with that doesn't require any special skills to use.

Without an Agent

  • Teams must know (and remember) which automation to run and when
  • Ai adoption takes longer
  • Multiple interfaces are involved, each requiring training and tracking down.

With an Agent

  • Simple familiar interface
  • Required context gets captured consistently
  • The correct automation is picked for the job
